Tooth Extraction
Tooth Extraction
Tooth extraction is a common dental procedure to remove a tooth that is severely damaged, decayed, or poses a risk to oral health. This treatment is often necessary when a tooth cannot be saved through other means, such as a filling or root canal therapy.
At Urban Smile Dental Clinic, our skilled team, led by Dr. Sweety Dighade, ensures a comfortable and stress-free experience during tooth extractions. Whether a simple removal or a more complex surgical extraction, we prioritize your safety, minimize discomfort, and provide aftercare guidance to support a smooth recovery.
Types of Tooth Extraction
Simple Tooth Extraction
- Performed on teeth that are fully visible and easily accessible in the mouth
- tools like elevators and forceps to loosen and remove the tooth..
Surgical Tooth Extraction
- Performed on teeth that are not visible or submerged in jawbone
- It involves making an incision in the gum and possibly removing the surrounding bone
Wisdom Tooth Extraction
- Wisdom teeth may grow at odd angles, press against neighbouring teeth, or remain trapped under the gum
- Surgical extraction such as bone removal is needed
